Well done Mal! You're doing so well. Congrats on getting into the size 38 trousers, I replied to you in my thread but thought I should write it in your thread too.

Have fun at skirmish!! Sounds like it will be a work out in itself so enjoy your drinks afterwards.

hi Mal, was just going through the introductions list, and your post jumped out because i'm from a small country town in Qld too - did the frost wipe you out this morning???? i'm so impressed with your weight loss, i'm so impressed with everyone's weight loss! am checking jon gabriels book am considering using that to give my endeavours some structure. Is JC the only method responsible for your success? am also trying to work out how to add the ticker to my profile - is it considered the signature? do i just cut and paste the tickertracker link i pasted from the site? need help please! and thanks

Hello che, sorry for not replying sooner. I have been away for the last few weeks and I have only just got home and now I can finally catch up on everything. Firstly, let me welcome you to the forum and weightloss family. The people here are fantasitc and if you need advice or encouragement, this is definitely the place to come to. JC has been the method I have used so far, apart from my cardio and weights training. I have heard about the gabriel method, but I have to admit I do not know alot about it, are you using it now? Have you been able to fix up your weightloss ticker, let me know if you haven't I will only be to happy to help you. Anyway mate, take care and hope your weightloss is going well and once again welcome to the forum.

Hello Cass, no haven't been down yet, I was just catching up with some family. I head down to Brisbane on the 23rd for a few days to catch up with some mates and then head up on the 28th until the 1st of september. But I don't have to start work until the 12th, which is good. How about yourself, when do you head away on your trip? Everything is going well up here, I go upto Rockhampton next week for another weigh in, so hopefully I am still losing. Had a pretty big weekend, went out on a bucks party and ended up drinking vodka and redbull and fire engines as well as some shooters, so needless to say I paid for it on Sunday. But I had a great time and it was good to get out of town for awhile and let down the hair. How about yourself? I read your thread, although it took me awhile to catch up :D, I hope your knee is going better know. Anyway, wishing you all the best and take care.

Yeah I'm off at the end of August, dates not confirmed yet as work hasn't booked my domestic flights. Then off to India 4th Sept & back on the 13th & hopefully I can come back to the bay the same day otherwise the next day. It's coming around quite quickly! I'll be happy once I have my visa sorted & passport back!

Glad you had a good time at the bucks party even knocking back a few shots! I've been doing the same & enjoying myself but think an alcohol free weekend is in need this week.

Yeah knee seems to be ok, just not pushing it too much & just doing a lot of strength stuff in the mean time. I'm going to go for a long run along the bay tomorrow morning, hopefully the sun will be shining! This is my first winter in QLD & if this is what winter is I'm happy with that! It hasn't been that cold during the day its just at night & first thing in the morning. Not too much rain either so I'm still getting walks/runs in.

Where abouts are you in QLD? Anyway take care & good luck for weigh in! :D

Hello Cass, wow that is fantastic, you must be excited. The biggest trip I get to go on for work is in the ute down to the river to check out some pumps :D Do you get to go away a fair bit with your work?

Yes the bucks party was good, and apparently I had a really good time, or so I have been told :) It started to get a little fuzzy in the early hours of Sunday morning. But it was good to just get out and socialise and let the hair down, lately I just tend to either work or train. But now, I have had my little splurge and I am now back into it. Went for about a 5km run/walk last night and tonight I have 30 min on the exercise bike and a session of weights. How is the knee holding up? It would be fantastic to run along with the bay as a view, I can't wait to get down there and see it myself.

I live in Moura, which is about 170 km west of Rockhampton, and I can tell you it has been cold here. This morning it got down to about 4 and the other morning when I finished nightshift I had ice on my windscreen of the car. But it is pretty good living here, you are only a couple of hours away from Rocky and Biloela is only just down the road. How are you and Joel finding living at Hervey Bay?

Anyway, suppose I had better get back to work, take care and hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Hey Mal, yeah I get to travel a bit, not as much as I would like. I go to Sydney twice a year & I get 10 days international famil leave per year. The first year I went to Tahiti & saw 5 islands!! So beautiful & total paradise! Last year I was offered to go to Cook Islands but had to turn it down as I couldn't go the dates needed & this year India! On top of that I get the usual 4 weeks leave & like to make use of the travel industry discounts. Last year I went on a cruise around the pacific islands & a couple of months ago I went to Vietnam.

The knee seems to be almost 100% again. I went for a run 4kms to the pier this morning grabbed a coffee then walked back & it didn't give me too much trouble. I put some photos on my thread if you want to take a look at the views you will experience when you're here for the wedding. I feel truly blessed to live in such a beautiful place & to walk along the beach most days.

I think I know where you mean. Inland would be a hell of a lot colder than it is here. Ice on windows!! Thats crazy! I'm still wearing shorts & tshirts during the day!!

Anyway have a good weekend!!
Cass

Thanks for posting the pictures, it looks absolutely beautiful and makes me wish the end of the month would come sooner.

Wow, that is amazing, I bet you have seen some spectacular places. I have been lucky enough to visit the USA and last year spent a couple of weeks touring England, Ireland and Scotland with a 2 day Singapore stopover on the way back. I thought Singapore was fantastic and went to the night zoo and had breakfast with the orangutans. Hopefully around February next year I will get to go back and spend a week or more, so I can see the rest of the sights.

Hello curvygirl and Cass. Firstly let me say sorry, especially to curvygirl, for not replying sooner. But let me say I haven't been AWOL from the weight loss :) I have been on holidays for just over 3 weeks. I went to Brisbane to catch up with a few mates I haven't seen in a few years for a week, then upto Hervey Bay for 5 days for a wedding then back down to Brisbane to see some more friends. Then unfortunately back home and straight into a 28 day major shutdown at work. But all is going well, during the time away I made sure to do at least 90 min a day of cardio, but I still had a great time. Curvygirl, I am still on the jenny craig program, I go upto Rockhampton tomorrow for a weigh in, so I will update my weight when I get home. Cass, thanks for recommending the gym, it was fantastic. And I have to say Hervey Bay is a beautiful place, I do not know why I haven't visited there before. Eden by the Bay was a great resort and definitely worth the money. On the day of the wedding you could not have asked for better weather, and the bride looked absolutely stunning and you had to see the sunset at the reception, overlooking Gatakers Bay, you could not have asked for a more perfect day. Tonight is the first time I have had any time to actually sit down and have a look at the forum, how are you both going? Cass, how was the trip? Hope you have plenty of pics. Anyway I am at work, so I had better get back outside and look busy, hope this finds you both well. Once again sorry about the delay in replying, but I am back into the swing of things now. Take care and looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey Mal glad that you had such a good time. Bugger about work but we all need to do it. Good on you for staying on track while you were away. You are better than me. Will watch this space with interest to see how close you are to goal. Good luck.
