Hi everyone, I'm Lauren, and I'm so glad I've found this site because I could definitely use the support!
I'm 20 and in my second year of uni, living away from home and struggling with the temptations of alcohol, take-away and a vending machine just down the hall. In the year before I started uni, I lost six kilos and now not only is that back, but it brought friends. I currently weigh 78 kilos, the heaviest I've ever been, and it's time to get it off. I know how to lose weight, I've done it before, but it's really hard here because there is always someone willing to tempt me/sabotage my attempts and I'm too weak willed to resist! That's where, hopefully, this site will help me.
Overall, I want to lose 16 kilos and get back to 62 kilos (the lowest weight I have achieved without having to commit to any crazy regimes, and at the lowest end of the healthy weight scale for my height), but it took me about a year to gain all this weight, so I'm expecting it to take at least as long to get it off. My short-term goal is to lose 5 kilos before I go to Thailand in November.
So, basically, what I'm hoping to get out of this forum is a support group to help me to make the right choices when it comes to diet and exercise, rather than reinforcing my bad habits!
