Hey! Hoping for a little help.

Postby Lexi213 » Sun Aug 31, 2008 2:26 am

Hello! I'm Lexi! I just stumbled across this sight when I was browsing weight forums. Seems like a lot of peopl euse this one and there is a lot of help out there. I have struggled with my weight for the past 8 years. I have tried to lose weight many times, and instead it has gone up more and more. I found myself justifying it eveytime too. And now, I just want it gone. no more excuses. I have to do it this time. I kinda hope posting this will keep me more motivated and honest with myself. I have the worst ever desire for snacks, chips. So any suggestions for replacements foods to that would be wonderful. And any other help people could offer. I am open to all ideas.
Thank you. :D

Hi Lexi, that's a lovely ticker you chose.
Welcome to the forum, it is certainly a good motivation tool. Do you have a plan of what you are going to do?
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

"You can't change the winds, but you can change the sails"

"Reach out and take control of what lands in your lap"

I think at the moment the only plan I have is to eat better. Which means cutting out my beloved chips! But I think once I am in the habit, then I can get fussy about other stuff. For now it's mostly food that concerns me. I think I will ride the exercise bike a bit too when I have the energy. I'm not keen to make a lot of changes fast because I'm a diabetic. I don't mind the diabetes at all, but changing food and exercise habits means my sugars will go low a lot. Thanks heaps for posting back, I like having the support here. It is a really good motivater. And I'm not in a place where a size 10 person is like IT'S SO EASY!!!!! Everyone understands what it's like and how hard it can be to stay motivated, so thank you!!!! :D

Hope you'll do alright with the weightloss/diabetes combination...

I know how hard it is to cut chips out of your daily menu. Started changing my eating habits a 2 days ago, but still haven't been able to cut it from the menu. It's like cheating on yourself with a hot girl/guy named Carb ;)
