So what a life it has been...
I shall introduce myself, Anthony is the name, most call me Ant, but whatevs, I'm easy.
Well... I currently weigh 112.8kgs, most couldn't tell by looking at me, but tis the truth.
My heaviest, well the heaviest that I weighed myself at was 133.5kgs... So I've come a fair way, but boy has it been a battle. I was never a fat kid, it wasn't until highschool that I started packing on the kilos. I was always in the "popular" group at school, so it wasn't a matter of depression, just kind of fell into it, well truth be told, it fell into me:)
I didn't really start worrying about my weight until my last year of school, I started walking/jogging to school. As with all weightloss I didn't notice a difference, although those around me did...you know how that goes.
During my first year out of school (I'm 20 by the way) I started being serious about my weight loss, was going to the gym everyday, was being semi-healthy with my diet and as you tend to do when you start loosing weight, I lost focus.
In that same year, I went on a holiday to New Zealand, spent about 3 months there. During this time was when I started to get serious, I lost about 10kgs while I was over there. So I came back to Aus and guess what...I put it all back on!
Lets skip forward a few months...It was about September and I thought "censored IT" I wasn't happy with my life, so I decided to make the move to NZ, I ended up living there for a year (I have family there so I wasn't on my own)
When I was over there I weighed myself for the first serious time (133.5kgs) was the result. I spent a few months bumming around, working and enjoying life. Then I started to get serious again and was jogging (yes jogging, not walking fast) for about 40 minutes a night, I was eating toast for breky, coleslaw and ham for lunch and having a normal dinner (meat and veg, curries, that sort of thing), I ended up at about 111.3kgs (somwhere around there) before I came back to Aus. I was so happy with myself, even though I knew that I had a hell of a long way to go, I was proud. Coming back to Aus was funny because everyone was freaked out when they saw me! Thinking that I was my younger, much slimmer brother.
So here I am now, I have been back in Aus for over a year now (during this time I put all of my weight back on...but also lost it, I'm almost back to what I was when I left NZ)
At the moment I'm walking/jogging for just over an hour of a night time and I'm feeling great. But have realised that it is time to get serious and start to kick some fatty boomba arse!
I am thinking about using my gym membership for the first time in a while and hitting it up for about 3 hours of an eveing, 5 days a week. Going for a job on weekends.
I don't eat junk food, might have pizza for dinner with the family on a fri or sat night, but apart from that, take-away and junk food are not something i'm keen on...at all.
My diet (i'm not on a diet) consists of a bowl of "healthy" cereal for breky (bran/special k/ that sorta thing) An apple for morning tea, 2 sandwiches for lunch (ham or chicken or whatever meat is left over from dinner:) and dinner is the same as usual, meat and veg, most nights have salad with it.
A friend at work was pretty much the reason that I jumped on here, because he knew that I was feeling a little lost. SO HERE I AM:)
The workout routine that I think I'm thinking of going ahead with is as follows;
1.5-2 hours on the treadmill
.5 hours on the X-Trainer
.5 hours doing light weights including push-ups, sit-ups and crunches, and those things on the bench where you lean forward, I call them chest-ups but have no idea what they are called lol!
So, any advice would be wicked! And thanks for hearing my story! censored Just realised how much I had typed!
