hi there

Postby liz1984 » Thu Jan 01, 2009 6:27 pm

HI there peoples!
Im liz and I live in warm and muggy Brisbane lol.
I really want to lose weight mainly to help me feel better about myself and to naturally improve my health. Back in year 12, 2001, i was a skinny 58kg and was able to eat anything i liked and not put on weight. Well that changed when i went to uni and got a job at KFC and ended up doing a lot of late shifts so we would get free food.....then the weight piled on heaps. I am now sadly at 85kg, and want to eventually get back down to around 60kg, as long as i get rid of the saggy tummy flubber. My housemates kindly tell me that I look like im pregnant...how i wish i was in some ways. Its depressing.

Anyway i hope that in 2009 i will lose weight!!!! And get a heap fitter. Have tried the personal trainer thing but we had to start from like VERY VERY basic, i had like no muscle lol, so we made some progress i guess but no weight loss. Suck at cooking so food wise its hard for me

Looking forward to chatting with all of you!

Oo yay your from, well nearly, same area lol.

I have tried those meals before, but they are awfully expensive to be taking to work all the time. Wish they were cheaper, then people would eat them more! Am thinking bout looking into like Lite and easy for meals and stuff...or just give money to my housemates and get them to cook...am sick of having pasta all the time for dinner lol. Though the past 6wks, i havent really had much of an appetite for tea, which is unusal, but i still havent lost weight. Sure i ahvent been exercising along wtih that but yeah....

Yeah, kinda same area :D I know what u mean bout them being expensive, I only get them when they are on special. Lite and Easy is a good idea too :D I did it a while back, but only for a couple of weeks, ran out of money  hehe And one of the girls at wotk is trying it, Her husband has lost about 10kg in 6 weeks and is looking a lot trimmer.

WELCOME LIZ1984!!

Like Starr, I am in the same boat, round abouts the same weight and same goal. We joined just last nov and were able to lose some weight (I lost 5kg thanks to this forum and the great friends I'd made!) so if you are committed you have come to the right place.

I want to start a new challenge, however over xmas I put on 1kg and so am 79kg (technically) and therefore I want to lose 1kg in the next week so that I am back at 78kg before I start the new challenge so keep an eye out for my thread if you want to join in ok!?

hi starr!!! :P looking forward to more losing yay

hugs, kg xx

I was the same, was skinny at school but left and got a job at KFC, leaving work after closing with a bag FULL of chicken plus making a quick burger on the way out- did not take long for it to catch up with me but by that time i was hooked on junk and really did not worry me so just kept eating it. Thankfully i am now a recovering KFCaholic lol- now prefer real foods cooked fresh without oils :)

Good luck reaching your goals, i am sure you will get there with support and determination
