Another newbie!

Postby PepperCalendar » Fri Feb 06, 2009 9:35 am

Hi everyone!

I got the link to this forum from a wedding forum and thought I'd join in.

I want to lose 15kg and don't know where to start.
I already exercise 5 days a week (walking 3km every day), but my problem is over eating.

I was hoping to find out some more information on those meal replacement shakes - they sounded interesting.

Looking forward to knowing you all!

Meal replacments can be a great kick start but I am a stong believer that old fashion healthy eating is essential. I am currently having the tony ferguson shakes, am having them for 10 days then going back to my healthy eating- its just to get me past this plateo. The shakes are actually really tasty- the choc ones I love. But if having these replcements remember they are low in caleries so you do still need to add some real food to your diet- not just at dinner time either. I have a slice of burgain soy-lin break toasted with vegimite after my breakfast shake and had some yogurt and strawberries not so long ago.
Just remember you will eventually have to learn how to eat healthy- replacments are not a life long solution and you dont want to go back to eating junk food or all your hard work will be for nothing.

Good luck

Hi Pepper :) I'm new here too and it looks like we want to lose around the same amount!! :D

Good luck to you in reaching your goal.

Those shakes are good for a bit of a *kick start* but you'll want to keep the weight off permanently so make sure to keep up the exercise and healthy eating :P
I'm a firm believer in giving yourself a bit of a *treat* every now and then too... :D
