6kgs to loose and i will do it!

G day everyone!

I'm about half way to my weight loss goal. I started at 73.9, and got down to 65.1 before falling off the wagon. I'm now at 66.9. My goal weight is to get to 59.9kgs. So not heaps to go. My exercise goal is to be able to jog constanly for 30min. I used to swim before the winter shut down the pool for the season so i started to give running ago. its harder because the weather is freezing and not real inviting. I want to compete in a 5k race when i'm fit enough.

Hi runner! Im also new to this place and have already found it really supportive! Have you seen the "cool runnings" couch to 5km plan? It looks pretty good, I'm thinking of giving it a go!

Thanks guys, the cool runnings thing sounds good. Is it on this forum? we should do it togther for bit of fun! :D

hi and welcome, I wish to do this also when I get to goal. I have been working on it and currently at week 3 but had to stop for a few weeks due to injury here is the web site for you to look at...

As people have suggested the couch to 5K is a good program to get your fitness up to be able to run 5K. Try to keep your diet as clean as possible and I am sure you will be able to do it. :) Good luck!
