My name is Emma and I'm about to start my weight loss journey and thought i'd post in here as it seems like a great support network.
Ever since i had my son just over a year ago i've been carrying around an extra 12kg of weight which i'm really determined to lose. It gets me down that none of my pre-baby clothes fit me anymore and I often find myself wearing my maternity clothes as they fit much more comfortably even though i had my baby over a year ago.
The extra weight makes me feel very tired and uncomfortable and I've now come to a point where i just want to get rid of it as soon as i can and start to feel healthy again.
I've got a personal trainer coming to see me tomorrow and after that i'll be having 3 sessions a week until i'm at my goal weight and then i'll cut it down to once a week. I also did my first spin class last night and intend to continue that once or twice a week.
My diet has always been pretty good with lots of salads and healthy foods but my portion sizes and lack of any exercise have been my major downfall so fingers crossed the personal trainer can help me stay motivated and kick my backside into gear.

Thanks for reading!

Hi Emma,
You're very welcome here of course! Good on you for taking it in hand. It probably took you the year to get used to bubba and figure out how to fit our life around that, so now you're ready, take the opportunity with both hands and wring it out for all it's worth. All the best
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
