I'm new to this board and have found reading a lot of posts very inspirational. I was 130kg in Oct '09 and have lost 32kg since then with sensible eating, smaller portions & better choices. The main things I have changed is no eating after dinner, very little cheese and chocolate and very little in the way of take-away food.

I joined the local gym and go 4-5 times a week, mostly weight training, cardio and core fitness in addition to walking and riding. I'm under 100 kg for the first time in over 13 years and feel really good and have a lot more energy.

I mostly got so heavy due to compulsive eating which really ramped up when my son was born with spina bifida 7 years ago. But no more excuses- I still have the odd time when I overeat, but seems to have found the ability to nip it in the bud and get back on track the next day rather than let in go on for days, weeks (or years).

Hi Gigi (love your name btw!)

Congratulations on such a huge loss :D . You must be thrilled!!
I wish I had your dedication regarding the gym. I seem to go okay with the eating - at least most of the time..with the occasional breakout :oops: - but I am hopeless when it comes to exercise. I literally do none, bar a little bit of walking.
I know this is wrong and I know exercise really is the key to weightloss but for some reason it is a mental barrier I have problems overcoming for now.

Oh well, I just wanted to say WELL DONE...and keep up the tremendous work :D
