Here goes

Postby mumstar » Mon Jun 14, 2010 3:45 pm

Hi all... it is time to shed those pregnancy kilos.... so here goes!

My little bubba is 11 and a bit weeks today.

I said at 6 weeks I would start eating better. So, I'm a few weeks later, but better late than never!

I lost 30 kilos a few yrs ago, over a 2.5 year period.

But I swam up to 2.5km most days during the bulk of that period, so this time will be very different.

I really cannot exercise much at all, as my time is spent at home, ensure my little one has his needs met, including uninterrupted sleep.

So, I must eat super well, which has started well this week with a 2.3kg loss!

I Hope I can do this. I am feeling very hungry, expecially in this cold weather. But also very motivated!

Am basically following the old WW program I used before, counting points and eatig few carbs.

I hope this forum helps me to stay focused! :!:

Hi mumstar,

Welcome! And congratulations on the birth of your little one :)

I am still a bit of a newcomer here myself but I have found everyone really supportive. I am sure you will find them the same way!

I have a bit more weight to lose than you but part of my motivation is I would like to have another baby. I have a daughter who is eight and I can hear the biological clock ticking very loudly (I am 39 on Thursday  !) I have a few "issues" in that department and losing weight will help (i hope!)

Anyway, good luck with your eating plan this week.

See you in the forums

Thanks for the welcome note n2l.

I am amazed at how many mums there are in this site, it seems that the syndrome of the house wife saddle bags is not only affecting me.

I am really looking forward to the support. I am not usually into this kind of thing, but spent a lot of time on a support website for Breastfeeding mums, and realised their true value.

This week will be a lot tougher than last, as I know we tent to lose a lot of fluid in that first week.

But I'll keep focused and doing what I'm doing!

Thanks again for the msg of support.

Housewife saddlebags

Actually, my problem is more the Working Woman spare tyre. My hips and bum are the only skinny bits on me lol!!

Hope your week is going well!
