Long journey and needing support.

Postby dustany1dust » Mon Oct 11, 2010 4:55 pm

Hello everyone.

Well for various reason (mainly quiting smoking in 2008, having a baby in 2009, and breastfeeding in 2009-2010) I went from being 60-62 Kg to 90 Kg in January. After I returned to work in Feb 2010 and stopped breastfeeding I found it much easier to lose weight. I went from around 90 Kg in the beginning of Feb to 69.4Kg today. I have never before struggled with my weight.

I have various goals but my ultimate one is to get to 60Kg. Losing the weight before now has been emotionally very difficult and exhausting and I am nearly at my wits end! It has otherwise been easy, eat smaller portions, healthy food and dont sit on your bum all day...but now that I have just hit the 60s it is soooo hard...I have been eating well and exercising ALOT and this week only lost 200 grams.

I have tried CSIRO, weight watchers, and am currently doing my own thing while attending a naturopath who has me on a low carb, ow fat, high protein diet.

I guess I am needing to be with a group of people who are going through the same thing as me, who I can learn from and be supported by and support back in return :D

I hope to get to know you all real soon and am off to have a look around forum.

Welcome to the forum! The last few kg's are hard, try to focus more on your overall health rather than a number though and hopefully you'll be back where you want to be very soon.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
