... and you would be setting an excellent example to your young ones, as well has improving your ability to interact with them. Wise choice!
I suppose that is not really an easy way of losing weight and keeping it off - just keep in mind the reason you are doing it, and don't be afraid to be a little bit obsessive about it. In my case I know that even when I get down to my target weight, perhaps near the end of next year, I will have to keep log of my weight on a regular basis, because I know from experience how easy it is to get off the rails.
Decide you are going to do it, make a plan with targets along the way, and then just hang in there. Stick with your plan and be patient and it will happen.
