Just a little intro right ^.^ Mm I thought I'd join as I've been struggling to lose weight my entire life. I've always been larger and it can be so frustrating to try and fail in diets. I looked around here and saw many members were suceeding in their goals and had support *smiles* seemed nice.

I'm 88.4 kg gained ten since a depression I'm 19 and am currently in study to become a Registered Nurse. I'm aiming to improve my exercise levels and to bring my weight down to a much healthier weight my ideal aim being 65 Kg.

Lol well take care

Hi Gold, my name is Olivia and I lurk at this board often. I am 84kgs, and my ideal weight is 55kgs. A weight I haven't been since I was 18. What diet are you planning on? I have now tried Admin Censored (lost 10kgs on it twice then put it back on), Betalife, and just recently a hypnotherepy program called 'thinkslim'. All worked to an extent, but I am still 84kgs. My heaviest was 87, so at least I'm not up there again! This board is good, there are so many people losing weight, it's quite amazing! Welcome! I'm sure you will find lots of support here.

Hello Gold and welcome to the forum.

You will find plenty of support here that is for sure. The thing with whatever plan you choose it's all about what works for you. There is a lot of info on here and lots of people using varying approaches with success so you don't have to get stuck in one way of thinking. Sometimes trial and error is the only way to find what will ultimately work for you. Just don't give up and you will make it. I also encourage exercise as it can assist in weight loss but beyond that it is so good for your health and your body loves it.

Feel free to join in wherever you are comfortable.

I wish you all the best on your weight loss journey. :D

Thanks so much everyone for the welcome ^.^

Yeah I've tried many diets in my lifetime all my family bro, sis and parents struggle with weight *muses* makes sense now since I did a nutrition course and found 50 - 70 % of your weight in genetic disposition.

:P Doesn't mean I can't change it though lol, Mm for me the best diet is one where I eat little and often and don't eat past 6-7 o'clock at night. My biggest problem is I'm really disorganised and I normally forget to eat or put it off resulting in like one meal in the day thats big...its not smart. Also I tend to reward myself with food like if I do well in an exam or something great happens I go out to lunch with family etc lol another thing I should stop.

Was hopeing by joining here it'll give me inituitive to keep at it and not give up on my diet as I tend to do. I am bi-polar so mood swings are commen and in down moods I can eat alot man, lol So thought support would be cool as I wouldn't give up I guess.

^.^ Thanks for the welcome much appreciated, lol now to stick to it and get more exercise driven eh lol not that I like that one much ^.~

Hiya Gold and welcome!!
I definitely "acquired" my body shape (as far as being strong and powerfully built rather than slim and willowy) but I think maybe I added a little to my frame
I hope you find the forum useful and achieve your goals!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

"You can't change the winds, but you can change the sails"

"Reach out and take control of what lands in your lap"
