i found that shaking a plateau comes with changing the type of exercise to trick your body... give that a go ;)

update:::: i wrote this on another members forum & thought i should post it here also

As of 16/3/12 i weighed 80.9kg..... my goal is 65kg

I had gotten to the point were i decided a LIFESTYLE change instead of a diet will/has made me feel less pressure. plus i am only gonna weigh myself WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT... but of course, with the promise that i will weigh myself for accountablility.

This week ive changed habits like....
# not eating after dinner - cause it makes me feel lighter in the morning
# cutting down the MASSIVE amounts of chocolate i was eating..note: i was eating a family block in two days easily
#making better choices eg. an apple with my coffee instead of biscuits
#replacing diet coke with water when having some meals & snacks

ill introduce new habit changes as i see fit as i dont want to overwhelm myself... When i get overwhelmed i end up failing any so called "diet" and binge and im back in the same situation i started in...

so this week i FEEL sooooo much better... i dont know how much ive lost but I KNOW ive lost weight....... a bonus is my mind feels clearer & im far less pissed off (sorry about the language but its the truth)

anyway, im gonna see how i FEEL midweek & i might weigh myself then.....

ill keep you posted :)

Can I join you ladies?

I need motivation.

I have 20kg to budge, I am over being the fat friend, the one they take shopping because I can pick a nice outfit. Im sick of them appolagising when they complain about having a 'fat' day cause they think they may have hurt my feelings.

I want to be the one showing off a new outfit, the one complaining about having a fat day, in a light heartened way for once.

I started yesterday and Im sticking to it this time.

Well I thought I had a good weekend, I was actually out off my bum, helping hubby clean the yard, playing with son and got to ride my new horse.

I ate very little to what I usually do, I had a really healthy food all weekend I even said no to hubby when he got maccas for breaky on sunday and when the MIL offered me some at lunch.

I really behaved myself!!!

So i weighed myself this morning thinking that i would have lost something....and I gained 800g!!!!!!

I did everything right, so Im stumped.

The only thing I can think of is I am overdue for TTOM by like 2 weeks (no not preggers, hubby went to the Vet 2 years ago lol)

would the use of Duromine set back TTOM????

Sorry, I do not know about Duromine, but my weight loss never shows at first, a few weeks later, then I start to notice. I also can go up and down one kilo during the day! This may be you as well.

I am trying to think of it as a whole getting fitter process, not just about weight. I am back now from being away for a month, I ate so many wrong things BUT I came back so much fitter, as I did a lot more. Even thought I did eat bad things I did not eat nearly as much as I have done in other years. I also drank alcohol eeekk lol. So now I am able to do more I am so much more motivated to really watch what I eat. I managed a much longer stronger walk today, I am now at a stage I am happy to watch my calories and try and keep within the limits. I was not like this at first, I cut down on all the bad things first, you will also get to that point, so do not be too hard on yourself. Take small steps and it will be more long lasting.

Cheers

Dee

Hi allaboutme..

Well done on knocking back Maccas!!! I tried duromine for a while... I know it is supposed to reduce your appetite - BUT you still need to eat a certain amount of calories to ensure you are feeding your body properly otherwise it will go into starvation mode and hang onto kg's... can't comment on how it affects ttom though sorry!!
