The Last Attempt

Postby AllyCat » Wed Mar 28, 2012 9:05 pm

Hi all
Where do I start? I guess the reason I am calling this 'The Last Attempt" is because I intend to lose it all once and for all.
It finally hit me when, last month I got the invite to my 10 year school reunion in July and decided I have to do something about my weight.
In ten years I have gone from a size 8 to a size 20 and in the last 4 years from a size 12 to a size 20. It all happened so fast that I don't recognise the unattractive obese girl who is always wearing my clothes and hanging out with my friends in photos.
4 Years ago I quit smoking and also met my husband, who turned out to be controlling and abusive. Needless to say I packed on the weight while wallowing in self pity and rivers of chocolate and various forms of cheese. After my husband cheated on me with a very slim lady, I plucked up the courage to leave him and lost 10 kilos in the following year without trying. So Figured that if I can lose 10kg's without trying, what can I do if I put my heart and mind into it. I researched various diets and decided that because of my busy schedule Lite n' Easy would be best for me.
I started Lite n' Easy a week ago and have also walked 2km everyday for better results. In a week, I am happy to say that I have lost 3kg and 12 centimetres around my waist. It's bizarre that after just a week, I can feel so good.

I love you lite n Easy, I hope we can be friends for a very long time.

Hi, Alleycat

Sounds like you've got a really good reason for losing weight.

Getting your self esteem back. You must have lost so much during your marriage and to have got out is the main step...taking this last step will be great!!

Go for it. Keep up the good worki :)

Hi Alleycat,

Sounds like you are on the right path.

It seems like so many times we do things for others, lose weight to show our old friends how good we look, etc. but you are now doing this for yourself. Your self esteem is sure to slowly return as you go to bed each night and feel good about the daily actions you are taking to get your body back to good health.

I started my day off with a 5kg walk with our dog and a light healthy breakfast.

Keep it up!

Regards,

Nice work so far! I've tried the Lite'n'Easy meals before and actually thought they were really good... I just couldn't keep up the costs!

Best of luck :)
Small steps... AND... POOF! Weight gone :)
