Hi All,

Just found this website today, it looks like a great place for support, guidance and motivation - and all the people sound really friendly and supportive!

I am kick starting my weightloss loss journey (once again :( )from today.

My medium term goal is to get below 100kg by March, as I will be going on an African Safari and want to be able to do all the fun things - like horse riding, elephant riding and zip lining.

Starting Weight: 119.2kg
Goal for March 20 (15 weeks): 99kg (-20.2kg)

Welcome aboard - enjoy the weight loss journey!! My bestest buddie is from South Africa - they still own a Safari Park over there and have told my husband and I that we can go and stay there free anytime we like!! Might take her up on that one day! She tells how when you lie in bed of a night time (the accommodation she has is up on stilts for obvious reasons) and you can hear the lionesses rubbing themselves up against the wooden poles!!
2008 - my year to be great!!

we spent half our trip visiting the 3rd world villages and the other half on safari. not all the huts we stayed in were on stilts but one we did stay in at the hippo pools in zimbabwe was a treehouse, and the hippo wander our the river in the middle of the night and play in the mud below the treehouse. :) its a wonderful experience. and nothing can prepare you for the heat! (we went in the dry season). central africa was very humid but east africa was dry n hot!

thats mt cameroon- we had to climb it! talk about a workout!

Welcome lbeach!

In 15 weeks you'll easily be able to get to your goal, just take it steadily because you dont want to make it too dificult for yourself and then you'll get turned off of it.

Just keep reminding yourself of the safari, plus the support of us friendly folk here and you'll do it!
