Hi all.

My starting weight is 142.9kg. (29.05.12) Yes i know a heifer.. Chest 136cm / waist 129cm / hips 142cm..

How does it work?? Do i just log a weekly weight or what?? All help gratefully recieved..

Hi Betty welcome to the forum.
There is a lot you can do on here; you can log your weight, food, exercise and a whole lot of other things. Have a look around I’m sure you will get the hang of things pretty quick. I started on here on Monday so I haven’t been here very long myself. What is your plan for weight loss are you with any group like weight watchers or jenny Craig or are you doing your own plan? I’m looking forward to seeing you around the board.

Thank you for you kind reply.. My first :)

I started a low carb diet on tuesday. On day 3 of my detox phase. So far so good.

Hoping to shed a few kilo's for health sake but mainly for vanity..lol Starting small by setting little goals... Guessing i'll know if i'm reaching to far but the goal this week is 5 kg's. Apparently very attainable on this system. Here's hoping. fingers xx

As Rhonda mentioned, there are plenty of things to do here. Many people keep a personal thread going in the Personal Progress section (Just start your own topic there like "BettyBoo's Progress" and keep replying to it with regular updates). Use of the forum and participating in the conversations is helpful in maintaining a person's focus on the task at hand - which is to lose weight and become healthy.

The main website that the forum is part of has many useful calculators and articles on nutrition and weight-loss.

I think 5 kg is totally doable in your first week Betty. My PT put me on a low carb diet when I started at the gym I’m going to and I never felt hungry on it. I have been told that it is terrific for fast weight loss.

Yep I’m on this journey for “health” but I sure won’t complain with the after effects of looking better and being able to buy nice clothes ect lol.

I hope you don’t mind my asking but how old are you? Age can make a difference in how fast you lose weight I think

I am 37 Rhonda.. Old enough to know better young enough to do it all again...lol
