I am not focusing so much on calories just eating a broad range of nutritious foods
I am keeping a bit of a food diary for my midwife as I know I will put on weight as I am not doing my usual high impact exercise. I calculated the calories for one of the days and it was within a good range. I am a firm believer in 6 meals a day, incorporating protein as much as possible and drinking lots of water
Here is a 5 day rundown of my intake:
Day 1
3 weet bix with honey and skim milk
1/2 glass OJ
Elevit
Carrot & celery stick with hommus
miso soup
soy lin toasted tomato and cheese sandwich
1 boiled egg
vaalia yoghurt
6 wholemeal rice crackers
homemade tuna mornay
large green salad
crusty roll
3 squares cadbury chocolate
Day 2
3 weet bix with 2 cut up strawberries and skim milk
1/2 glass OJ
Elevit
A banana
Miso Soup
Soy lin sandwich with cheese tomato and spinach toasted
1 carrot
natural nut bar
Chicken and vege
Day 3
3 weet bix with 2 cut up strawberries and skim milk
1/2 glass OJ

Banana
small handful nuts seeds and fruit mix
Teriyaki pork and veges with brown rice
tiny bit of choc cake
Day 4
2 slices wholgrain toast
a glass of milk

Pumpkin lentil soup with a crusty roll
Fruit and Nut Bar
Apple
Vegetarian fancy dinner out
Day 5
3 weet bix with light milk and 2 strawberries

1 piece raisen toast
Steak and steamed veges
