Hi Everyone,

My name is Katie and I am on here to get some support, guidance and encouragement on my weight loss goal!!
I live in Sydney and I am currently at my heaviest weight of 90kgs at a height of 5,10.
Now i have never been skinny, and have no intention of being so,i just want to be healthy and fit!!

I recently saw a picture taken of me at my work xmas party and it really hit hard! However, i will now use that picture as motivation to loose the bulge and be happy to pose in front of that camera!!

Anyhoo, just thought id say hello and look forward to meeting some of you!!

Good luck to everyone with their weightloss journey!!

Hi Katie

The important thing at this point is to stay motivated, especially around the beginning of a new year. Losing weight should be much easier now that the Christmas period is over and all the leftovers have been eaten and other seasonal distractions have passed.

You could try this: Paste a photo of yourself somewhere where you'll see it every day and use it not as "punishment" but as motivation. Sometime in the next few months have another similar photo taken that shows the changes to you, and paste it next to the original. And then, a few months later, do it again...

But remember that although people can encourage you and the Weight-loss website and forum can give guidance and information, at the end of the day it will be your own choices and decisions that dictate whether you will reach a healthy weight and lifestyle. If you are determined and don't give up then you will succeed.

This is a great idea. I had a photo that I particular disliked. It told the truth about me that I could not hide. I didn't delete it but rather used it to motivate me. Like a hitman with a prey I kept it with a steely determination to get rid of the guy in the photo. Now it's a pin up of my success! It's one of the pictures that I posted in my before and after photos. :D
