No measures are in place, other than will power.

Not sure what measures I could put in place other than that.

Good to see that you provided the good healthy alternative - NOT!
Start running now Andy...by this time tomorrow you might have it burnt off by then!

The measures I'm talking about are those practices in your new healthy lifestyle that keep you clear of trouble and keep you accountable.
For example in my lifestyle:
I have marked out a strict band of weight that I can range at (for me that is between 67kg and 70kg)
I weigh myself every day and record it in my "weight loss" book
That book remains always open at the current page and is next to the phone for anyone to see
My current weight for that day is given out no matter who asks - never fudged or lied about
If I do hit over 70kg mark (due usually to bad time management) I'll do whatever it takes that day to pull it back - next day MUST be back in range
I will exercise each day...sun, rain or sick...this is not optional (intensity or length may vary)...the habit must be maintained
I don't drink fizzy drinks...one is too much - and one is not enough
I don't eat takeaways such as Macca's or KFC...that was my old lifestyle - I now only healthy food in proper healthy portions
I stand publicly and here on this Forum advocating for healthy lifestyle - obligating myself to stand by my words

That's just a partial list...but you get the general idea. Most of it is about "mindfulness" - that is making maintenance so important in your life so that you don't let go of the prize that you fought so hard to achieve.

I have done my best in the race, I have run the full distance, and I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7

The secret is to make sure that you run the FULL DISTANCE. Losing the weight is only half the race.

Most of it is just common sense...then again...in this world you meet a lot of people who lack common sense!

We've got a section of the Forum all devoted to the issue of maintenance. I reckon there is plenty of wisdom there already.
Don't worry - when you get to maintenance it will be my pleasure to help you keep accountable!

Yes well..

Weighed in this morning, even with bad food yesterday I still managed to lose 200g! Woot.

Another bad day today, be interesting to see my weight in the morning, I am guessing I will not be so lucky. Going to do 15km of exercise this evening. A short 5km, watch footy, then a 10km afterwards to finish it off.

Dinner at Mums tomorrow, will be a 600-700 Calorie meal no doubt, but with 2 x 300 Calorie during the rest of the day, I still come under my 2000 easily. That with a 5km in the morning and a 10km tomorrow night again, should still see weight loss..

All good Andy. :D
Food like that may not have fully shown up today...that weigh in tomorrow may be a double whammy if you have had a "bad day". Just keep on top of it and be determined to make up for it else where.

If you do the hard work; in the end - it will pay off for you. Keep going! 8)

It would of shown up, I read a study on how long it takes for the body to store carbs, fat and sugars. It is only a matter of 2-3 hours until it is all stored.

Then you burn it off again, the 15km I did last night did that, and more by the looks of it.

I hope so for your sake.
Just that experience tells me sometimes the body doesn't read these studies and can give you some surprises along the way!

May tomorrow prove you right and me wrong (certainly has happened many times!). 8)

You're a machine Andy what with ALL that exercise, you've motivated me to head for the gym for an hour..

So anyway what is you average daily exercise routine as a matter of interest?

I do 10km every night, run as much of it as I can. sometimes i can run it all, sometimes i can only walk it briskly. my Walking pace is 7.2kph in itself, so very brisk.

Weighed in this morning, NOT HAPPY!

80.8kg.

So back on it, I know alot of it may be excess food weight, scales will settle over next 2 or so days, will keep reporting back.

Going to do a 10km this morning and then again tonight.

Eating poorly for 2 days does have an effect.
