Hi and Happy New Year

Postby tree » Tue Jan 02, 2007 10:28 am

I have been visiting your forums for a while and have decided that this is a good time to join!

I live in Adelaide and have just turned 37. I am really hoping to use this year to acheive my weight loss goals. Getting enough excercize is not a problem for me it is the afternoon nibbling that lets me down time after time.

But no more!

Hi tree, welcome aboard. Afternoon nibbly time used to be my down fall too. Now I have a low GI lunch which keeps me going for longer and if i feel like a snack have some fruit or dry biscuits. good luck with everything 8)

Hello tree and welcome to the forum.

Good to have you with us and feel free to join in wherever you are comfortable.

Slimmin has some good advice there I also have biscuits in the afternoon with low fat cottage cheese and tomato and it seems to keep me going till dinner time.

Best of luck on your weightloss journey. :D

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I have decided that a visit to the forums in the afternoons will be a great way to stick on track and stay away from the junk food machine. :)

Kate - I see your ticker and your progress from 91 to 70 that's fantastic - it gives me hope! Good luck on getting to that last few kilos.

ooh tree, great idea!!!

I think jumping onto the forum whenever you get the nibblies is ingeniuos! I was sitting on this forum the other day and my husband offered me icecream - something I never refuse - and I didn't even think about accepting. After all, why would I be eating icecream when I'm so determined to lose weight.

But I never thought about just jumping on whenever I'm struggling. Brilliant! :)
