Happy New Year everyone!!

This is GREAT! Reading this has made me want to jump in my car drive to Big W and buy myself a set of scales and tell the world how fat l am and then show the world when it all drops off!

My name is Kani and l am short and decidedly dumpy! l can push it and call it cuddly but these wretched low cut jeans these days make that comment hard to get away with!! 4 years ago l was 58 kgs (l am 5.2) l think l am probably about 73kg now. All due to no exercise and being a lazy piglet!! Enough is enough and this year it has to change!! Stay tuned and thanks for this great site!
Cheers
Kani
PS BigW here l come!

I've got to say I totally agree with you there. How inspirational is this?

I logged on to the web tonight looking for some motivation, and found exactly what I needed right here.

Hiya Kani
What a great name! :) This is a great site, and I'm glad you're joining us! Don't you just love those hipster jeans, I like my jeans to COVER my hips, not sit below them!!
Good luck with your first weigh-in on your scales when you get them!

Hey there Kani and welcome to the forum...cool another "vertically challenged" person :P (I do believe we are the same height!) I wish you all the best on your weight loss journey and I look forward to reading your progress!!

I don't know what your shopping budget is, but I bought a pair of Weight Watchers scales which I found have been really good..the only downside is that they are around the $70.00 mark!! But I found they are good value for money!!

I love those hipster jeans...... never worn them (ugly ugly site if i did  )....... and by the time i`m thin enough to wear them, I`ll be too old, and look like a recycled teenager

Looking forward to watching you shrink back down to 58kgs Kani........ You can do it!

PS:- The guy at BigW is waiting at the register with your scales

Bought my Scales!

Postby Kani » Thu Jan 04, 2007 8:01 pm

Hey eveyone

l bought my scales! They lie though , darn things they TOLD me l weighed 73 kilos! Last time l EVER hopped on scales they told me l weighed 64kgs. Whats going on??
Only going to jump on them once a week l reckon. Every day is too depressing especially with all this hot weather making everyone feel fat and lethargic anyway!!!

See ya everyone, (dont know why l sound so jolly, right now l feel huge bloated and very very hot!!!!)

Hey Kani, great job on buying your new scales...don't be disheartened at not liking that number on the scales!! Make it your mission each week to see them go down!! The important thing is to only weigh on the one set of scales, and not on the carpet!! Don't be tempted to jump on a friends scales etc as this can lead to you thinking your weight is all over the place...just stick to yours!!

Once a week is great for keeping track of your weight! Weighing everyday gives an inaccurate picture due to weight fluctuations! Try and keep a record of your measurements too (this is something I have not done and now regret not doing it from the get-go).
