Hiya - New Year New Here!!

Postby Pinkie » Wed Jan 03, 2007 9:42 am

Hi Everyone :D

I'm new here too. I'm sure you get an influx of newbies here this time of year. I'm Marnie, I'm a married SAHM of 2 boys and making this my year to lose weight and keep it off!!

About 3 years ago I made a pledge to myself that I'm going to lose weight. I did over the course of a year I lost 15 kilos and got within 6 kilos of my goal weight. I maintained it for 2 years, then got slack and suddenly the weight crept back on (thank goodness only 5 kilos of it!). How disappointing! But that's happened and now I'm back to the grind. I'm 35 years old, weight 78 kilos currently and I'm just over 5'5" so my goal weight is 64-65 kilos (which I think is realistic).

I love this site. I love the challenges here as I work well with challenges. I love all the tips as well. I do my best if I can exercise at home (no matter what it is) and with everyone's support and encouragement here I'm sure I'll get to my goal weight in no time!! I'm here for you guys too - I love forums

Thanks for being here and I look forward to getting to know you guys better around the boards

Hello Marnie and welcome to the forum.

Well done on your weightloss to date and well done on maintaining for 2 years. OK so you put some back on but it is not as bad as it could have been and what's more you have recognised it and are taking the appropriate steps to correct.

Glad to have you aboad and wish you every success on your weightloss journey. :D

Hey Marnie!

Welcome to the forums :) I did the same thing as you - got to within about 4kg of my goal weight last year (which was 4kg higher than it is now :P) and then 6kg crept back on so here I am again! But at least you've decided to lose the weight before it all came back on!

Good luck with your weight loss, if you ever need an ear there is always someone here to listen!
