Lots to loose

Postby Chinta » Wed Jan 03, 2007 7:11 pm

Hi guys

I have been having a read of you forum for the past couple of days, so decided I should sign up and join in the discussions.

I`m pushing 40, with heaps of weight to loose after constant yo-yo dieting, and chopping & changing diets
My scales need new batteries, so at a guess I would say i`m between 150 to 160kg  ........ so as you can see, i`m in desperate need of help/support.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and to share in the success. I started my "New Way Of Life" on Jan 1st (like millions of others  )... and hope that THIS year is My year of succeeding.

There are some real inspiring stories on here, so i know I have come to the right place :D

I have to duck-out now, but can`t wait to return hear for further reading :D

Hey Chinta,

I'm just a newbie myself, and also like you (and yes millions of others) I am a NY resolution diet starter!!!

But we're going to do it right? 2007 is going to be the year that will change it all for everyone here, just wait and see!!

I started off on Monday at 135.5kg, so as you can see I'm not a lightweight, but even so, regardless of whether you have one or one-hundred kgs to lose, this is the place to come for support and inspiration.

Oh, nearly forgot....I'm on the ugly side of 40!!!!

We Are going to do it right this time Pepper :D

I was under 120kg when working....... then increased to 135kg when I took a a desk job for a few years......... and now that I have been home for the last couple of years, my weight has steadily increased (apart from yo-yo dieting inbetween  ).... but i can`t continue like this, so Here I am

I agree 1 or 100kgs..... it`s all extra weight....... just means reaching desired weight will take longer, for those who have more to loose :)

Hello Chinta
Welcome to this great forum.
I am also a newcomer, and whilst I may not have as much weight as you to lose, it is all still about changing bad habits, getting organised in the pantry and fridge by removing temptation, education the loved ones around us and take one day and small steps at a time.

We are all here for you, these girls are great with loads of wisdom and tips for staying on track.

The recipies on this site are also great, I am actually using them as I write my shopping list for the next week.

Good luck and I look forward to getting to know you better.
