Hi guys! Another newbie wanting to introduce themselves.

Postby wicked.kitti » Thu Jan 11, 2007 5:59 am

Hello! :D Just wanting to write a quick introduction.

I just signed up for the Ultrlite plan yesterday, so this is very early on day one. I began my weightloss journey at 89kgs :( and have managed to lose a few kilos myself (I'm currently 82 kgs), but ended up stuck there for about a year without losing anymore (Doh!) so a friend suggested I try Ultralite as she knew a guy who'd lost 20kgs!!!

Hopefully I have similar success, as I'm hoping to get down to 65kgs. I used to sit quite happily btw 55-60kgs in my late teens/early 20's but at 30 I'm pretty sure those days are gone. Sigh... 65kgs would be awesome.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myslef. :D I'm looking forward to chatting with you guys.

Hey Wicked-Kitty,

I too used to be able to hang around the 55-61kilo weight in my early 20's, but when I hit 34 it all went to poo!

I too got up to my heaviest (without a baby in my tummy - I have two kids) of 80kilo. I lost three kilo in my first week of watching what I ate and getting motivation and diets tips/recipes etc from this fantastic sight.

Good luck on your journey, look forward to getting to know you on the forums...

Tiffany :D

Thanks for the responses guys! This seems like such a welcoming forum. :D

Day one went ok, although having to drink a dessertspoon of Apple cider vingegar and 2 dessertspoons of pressed oil (I think it's wheat grass oil? Can't remember, it's too early in the morning...) was a bit icky..

But other than that I really enjoyed the meals I'd prepared, and the sachets actually did stop my sugar cravings!! (I wasn't entirely convinced when the consultant told me it would).

Of course 10 minutes after telling my mother that I had gone on the plan she suggested the family all head out for MacDonalds.. Nice. I was strong though and only had a Gardens salad and a bottle of water. It was actually kinda nice to walk out of maccas without feeling like I needed a harness to hold my belly in. :)

So I think day one was pretty successful. Woo hoo!

Thanks Kate. I was pretty proud of myself to be honest.

I've hit day four and am still doing pretty well. I went to the movies to see 'The pursuit of Happyness' (awesome! I Highly recommend seeing it!) & managed to stear clear of the pop-corn and icecream. Yay me! :D

Did the test this morning and have hit ketosis! Hoorah! so just have to behave to make sure I stay there.

I had a sneak peak at my scale which read a 2.4 kg loss, which I got quietly excited about, but my scales may be different to the one at Louisa's (my consultant's) office, so I guess I'll find out for sure next week. Fingers crossed!

Lolly: When you sign up for ultralite they give you urine test sticks (icky I know), similar to the type you use for a pregnancy test.

Thanks Fairie! Looking forward to chatting with you.

Kate: I heard about that! I'm so bummed that I missed it.

It's such a feel good movie. I don't know how that guy held it together. I'd take the tissues, I certainly needed them....
