Welcome Wicked Kitti, sounds like you are doing really well already.

Kate I'm sure they would be just like normal urinalysis strips that you can probably buy at the chemist. You would just ignore all the other squares and look at the one marked ketones to see if you are in ketosis.
Though we normally worry if patients have it in their urine, but i guess it could be a good thing if you are loosing weight. it usually means to us that the patient is malnourished or hasnt been eating enough.. I've never heard of checking it for weight loss purposes before, good idea if its recommended though 8)
[no excuses, I can do it!

Sorry guys I should have explained further. They basically want you to go into a particular type of ketosis, like a mid range I guess.

It lets you know if you are in fat burning mode if you're a particular colour.

With the type I was given rose is the premium colour, and means your using your fat as a source of energy (therefore: fat burning = slimmer me Yay!), if its dark you need to boost your intake as your body is using muscle and fat as an energy source (not healthy), if its pale your body is still using the food you consume as the main source of energy (ie: your fat stores are sitting untouched = Dammit!)

I hope that makes it clearer....

for sure kitti. a lot of the shake type programmes require the person to go into ketosis. :)

Hey Wicked Kitty!!

Welcome!! I'm only new here too & I LOVE this forum. I've been telling everyone about it! So much support! So much info!! It's great!!

And yeah, The Pusuit of Happyness is a great movie! When I think of that movie, I think, "What a GREAT Dad!!" Everything he did, he did foe his son....so beautiful. Although the "cave" scene was sad, I liked how he was turning a bad situation into a fun one.

And yeah, I saw Oprah too. It was great. That little boy didn't remember anything bad (don't want to give anything away!). He said, he just remembered being on the move all the time.

Hi Guys, whoa, alot of replies since I was last here :D

KimE: He is SOOOO hot, I love that movie I-Robot (there's that scene, where he's in the shower - that chest! OMG!!! ....) Ahem, yes, yes, quite a good sort he is.

Zeedeveelgirl: Thanks for the welcome, will do!

Shaz73: I had tears streaming down my face in that scene, poor man, I loved later int eh movie when his son asked "Can we go into the cave again?" Beautifully done. :(

Simmy: The price varies depending on the plan you are on. I'm on a five week weightloss plan with consultations weekly and it cost $390 (thereabouts) I had to pay a little more (around $20 for some extra's I bought too) But that's alos good inspiration to keep with it. I don't want to waste my money or time.

Hi Jewles,

The price varies depending on the plan you are on. I'm on a five week weightloss plan with consultations weekly and it cost $390 (thereabouts) I had to pay a little more (around $20 for some extra's I bought too) It sounds like alot of $$ at first, but spilt or five weeks it's not so bad. It's also good inspiration to keep with it. I don't want to waste my money or time.

That also includes vitamin suppliments and consultations.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I've lost 2.5 kgs, and 5.5cms from my belly!!!! Woo Hoo!

If I could put a little dancing me on here I would.

Okay, okay, I know 2.5 kilo's isn't that much to be excited about, but you have no idea how long it's been since I was under 80kgs.
So I am one very happy woman.

Tee hee!
