Must Avoid:Hot Chips and Anything too Sugary "
Hi there Franky and welcome to the forum, I'm relatively new here too. I've found everyone to be so nice and switched on about weightloss, it's a pleasure to be a member and feel a part of something so positive.
Just thought I'd respond to your 'weaknesses' and say that if you are craving particular foods I find it helpful rather than to deny myself completely I make a small portion of a substitute rather than 'cave in' at a later stage.
For hot chippies try slicing a potato putting it on a tray sprayed with low cal cooking spray (I personally love "Fry light- butter flavor") chuck some herbs on too to spice it up a bit and have that with your meal as a low fat portion of carbs.
With the sugar cravings I try to eat 6 small meals per day which stops your blood sugar from peaking and dipping which sends you running for choccie or something to give you that boost.
And if I really get that sugar craving I look towards fruit which has natural sugar and is so much better for you than something processed. For sugar cravings/dessert cravings I make myself either a mock pudding which comprises of cottage cheese mixed with a little vanilla essence, one sachet of equal, and some cinnamon, with a mashed banana. (Sounds gross, but don't knock it til you try it
) Or a small fruit salad with some low fat yoghurt. Once you get it all ready to go it's just as enjoyable as any 'junk' sweet. And you don't have to kick yourself later
All the best with your weight loss
