My name's Yolanda, I'm 27 and I have two sproggets.
I live on a farm in the middle of nowhere.. the nearest gym is about 100klms away, so I'd love to hear from anybody else in the same situation.
I quit smoking about 18 months ago (at the time I was 89kgs) and I think I just pretty much ignored my weight during that whole time - too much sitting on my a$$ and eating ridiculous amounts of all the wrong foods. Just plain laziness is at fault for my gain.. nothing else.
When I started out I was at 107kgs a few months ago.. (Well, I think perhaps I was higher than that, as I avoided the scales for about a year before that.)
But I cut out coffee and coke and chocolate etc.. stopped having sugar in my tea.. Switched to skim milk and lite margerine etc .. And just those few changes got me down to about 103kgs.
A few weeks ago I started an excercise diary to keep track of what I was doing, and when.. and that's worked pretty well at keeping me motivated.
Mostly I do swimming - laps of the local pool every day.. Sometimes I walk - I have a large property, so walking to my back fence is far enough for about a 45 minutes workout.
And I have a punching bag that I enjoy
..I just put some loud music on and bash it until I'm sweating. lol.. I know I must look awfully silly doing it, so the sprogs aren't allowed to watch. But I always feel great afterwards.
