Introducing myself

Postby mistqui » Sun Feb 04, 2007 1:42 pm

Hi I am Jo and i weighted 170.3 kilos 5 months ago.. I had lap banding operation done and i now weight 150.4 kilos. I have been big all my life I refuse to diet i just eat proper foods and when i am stressed i allow myself to eat chocolate without feeling like i have betrayed the greater good etc.

I found after all the pain and the years of dieting that the only things that work are.

Only you can make it work.. Only you can make yourself feel bad if you drop off the path everyone else expects of you.

so just relax live each day and dotn feel guilty a couple pieces of rich good treats once ina while is not a sin to try and kill yourself over . beat yourself up or otherwise put yourself down for.

live life enjoy your family and friends and learn to love yourself and it will happen..

dont expect miricles over night its not going to happen jsut chill and let your mind and body heal and grow so you can looose weight.

sounds strange but hey it works. I have been battling the weight all my life I am almost totally whellchair dependant when i am out 5 months ago Now i cam wlak half way round the shops without falling flat on my face!@ for me thats a high!

good luck
I live everyday for each day I stop looking to far ahead in case i get lost and cant find my way back on the path i follow.

Hey Jo,

Thanks for sharing, you sound like an amazing lady and I for one, am honoured to have made your (cyber) acquaintance.

I applaud your courage, and your words of encouragement (as I do anyone else's) but to hear it from someone who can openly talk about the pain and heartache born of such dependancies as having been wheelchair bound, is quite something.

You have done so well, and should be very very proud of yourself.

Keep up the good work, and know that we are all there for you girl.

Hi Jo and Welcome to the forum. You will find lots of very supportive and interesting people on here.

Lap banding is such a drastic step to take, it must have been a huge decision for you. Well done on your progress so far.

Good Luck.
