Hi ALL yes another newbie

Postby Kgirl » Mon Mar 05, 2007 5:01 pm

Hi guys and gals,
Another perth girl here. I am 32 yrs old and have been overweight now for about 7yrs. I have tried everything and am just about to give up and try lyposuction however have promised my family I will wait until the end of the year and try again and again.
I weigh between 85 - 90 kgs. I love to swim, walk, go to the gym but work on average around 50 - 60 hrs a week. I know alot of excuses spring to mind. I just want to feel good about myself, fit and healthy. I dont want to be size 6 a nice size 10 would be good or a 12, instead of an 18 or a 16.. Anyway hoping that this forum can provide some support an encouragement to kick my ass into gear again. Does anyone know of a health retreat or somewhere I can go for a couple of weeks anywhere in aus where I can detox and start a healthy lifestyle? :D

Thanks Kate thats exactly what I need right now some serious butt kicking  I am pretty interested in what people think are the easiest to stick to diets, tried and tested ones or people thoughts on the best way they have found to lose weight. I know its different for everyone but I need to start somewhere. I tried ultra lite before and did great for 8 weeks then stopped and it all piled back on. Anyone with other suggestions??

have a browse around the forums kgirl. what we have found is that different things work for different people. we have some people on weight watchers, tony ferguson, jenny craig, sure slim or generally just eating healthier and exercise. i myself, lost the weight from limiting my carbs and upping my protein. but its different for everyone.

Hello Kgirl and welcome to the forum.

Yep we can help with the buttkicking :D but more importantly we can help with support and encouragement which goes a lot further than the nasty boot. Not sure of any retreats in WA but there are plenty of Perthites on here who may be able to help you out.

All the best on your weightloss journey. :D

Welcome Kgirl. Good to see that you are rearing and ready to go. You will find lots of support from the people here, and yes, they will kick your butt, but only if you need it. :D

Hi Kgirl and welcome!
I think the easiest "diets" to stick to is a simple healthy sensible eating plan that you can maintain for life with an exercise routine you can fit into your day and which you feel comfortable keeping up with for the long term!
Cheers,
