Hi Everyone, I am new and could use some support

Postby vanessa0305 » Sun Mar 11, 2007 7:21 am

I started my weight loss journey in August last year. I had reached 101kgs and felt that I had to do something. My husband and parents were putting a lot of pressure on me as it wasn't healthy.

I had an electric treadmill that I got my husband to set up and used it everyday. I also tried to cut back on the bad foods. By October 18th I had lost 7kgs but it had been such a hard slog it was killing me and I hated my life. So I decided to join Curves.

My starting weight at Curves was 94.4. I also started trying their low carb high protein diet. This worked ok and I started losing weight consistently and was really enjoying the workouts. I was also doing a lot of walking too. At the begining of the year I hit 85kgs, this was great except I haven't been able to move beyond it.

So after quite a few weeks at the same weight I decided to start the Success program from Amcal. I have finished the first week with a 2.6kg loss. And am in the second week.

I would really like to talk with anyone doing these programs as I could really do with the support. The first few days were awful but now I think I have the hang of it.

Thanks for listening

Vanessa

Hang in there Vanessa. I know it can be hard - especially when you have people pressuring you. I also have hit a plateau - at 77 - 78kg, but I will work through it eventually. I have heard good things about the programme that you are on. Keep on going, and you will be at your goal weight before you know it.

Hi Vanessa and welcome. I've been stuck on 75kg for quite some now so I can understand where you are coming from. I figure if I just keep doing what I'm doing I'm still keeping fit and healthy and maintaining my weight where it is, so I still win
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
