Hi all,

I just joined the site today and wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Darren. I'm 38 and from Adelaide.

I am currently at 105 kg and wish to lose 20kg.

Like many people I have battled my weight for many years and I have finally had enough. This time it is all coming off!!!

I got down to 82kg for the 1999/2000 New Years Eve but have been in a steady climb since then and I cannot let it continue any further.

The final straw was running in to an old work mate while interstate last week and also an old school friend at the airport and neither of them recognised me. Those were not my proudest moments.

Anyway, I look forward to displaying my new trim taut and terrific body in the near future. :-)

I am also keen to post up my before photo's and update them regularly too. Be warned - they are not pretty. lol

regards
Darren

Welcome to the forum Darren. We have all had "not pretty" photos, so don't worry too much.

Feel free to join in where you feel comfortable. There is always someone to pat you on the back for your wins and someone to pull you back up on the wagon when you fall off. :D

Thank you all.

Postby Adelaide_Guy_68 » Tue Mar 13, 2007 9:08 pm

Thank you all for your kind words.

This time I am determined to get all this weight off and I think this forum will really help with the motivation.

Hopefully the progress shots will also keep me on track once I see the changes starting to occur.

I have just taken my before shots and I intend to take them once a month. How often do you all take your progress shots?

I'll wear the exact same clothes each time so I can get a better idea of the changes that are taking place.

I've also taken some of me just in my jocks for my own reference. I won't post them here because there is "not pretty" and then there is just plain wrong!! lol

I've posted the before shots in the "progress pics" section.

Yeah, it's always good to see the progress shots to just show how far you've come.

I've been taking some *ahem*photos just in my jox*ahem* just for me to see that gut and those manboobs dissappear, it's amazing the difference.

Oh yeah and don't forget to take some side on shots, unlike me

that was quick

Postby Adelaide_Guy_68 » Tue Mar 13, 2007 9:12 pm

Wow that was a quick response.

I just jumped back on here to edit my post and you had already replied.

I posted my pics in the "personal progress" folder and not "progress pics" as I wrote.

Can you edit your posts on here? I can't see how to do it.

I don't believe you can, that was the first thing I looked for when I first posted here but I couldn't see an edit button anywhere.
