hi I'm New here

Postby curvey » Mon May 14, 2007 5:03 pm

Hey Guys

Well I'm new here and new to having to loose weight too i guess. I finally came to the decision that i need to do something.

Im use to be extremely active but with having a partner who was an emotionally and physical demanding partner- i put on 20kgs in a space of 1 and a bit years.

Now ive got rid of the ex partner  and now im wanting to get rid of the excess weight too.

I actually turn 21 in 4 weeks and am looking to lose a few kilos for that as well (not crash dieting)

Um at the moment I weight between 88 to 90kgs depending its goes up and down and im 175 cm so means my BMI is about 28 i think.

Im awaiting my shipment on TF satchels to come in and im looking forward to starting.

Im wondering what exercise works for you guys? and i would love to find a exercise partner if anyone is in South Australia too
:D

hey curvey welcome to the group. you have come to a great place to find support for yourself on your weightloss journey.

there are a few people here who are on tf or who have experience with it so best wishes for it and hopefully it works for you :)

you should aim to exercise at least 3 times a week for longer than 30 mins each time. i started off walking and really enjoy it. you can build up and its low intensity and it doesnt cost anything :)

Hi Curvey,

Welcome to the group. I joined up yesterday and I'm loving it already.

I am on TF and have found it really easy so far, probably coz I love my vegies. Warning tho, you may find you have full on withdrawal symptoms in the first week. I had massive headaches from the detox but it's great now.

Good on you for getting rid of the ex. No-one needs that in their lives. ;)

I exercise by riding my exercise bike and using two tins of canned food (750g - 1Kg ones) as weights while I'm riding. Probably looks hilarious but it's good for days when you aren't able to go walking because of the weather and being it's inside my own home, I don't care enough what it looks like. I'm looking forward to going for walks again and I know a friend of mine and I are going to make a date of it as such once a fortnight. You are always welcome to come join in if you are in the area. I'm in Adelaide too, north eastern suburbs. PM me if you are interested. :)

Good luck with your weight loss, this site is great and you'll find lots of interesting stories and great people.

TF stands for Tony Ferguson seal - we have a few people on this forum using this as a tool for weight loss.

Hi Curvey, welcome to the forum!
My exercise basically consists of riding my pushbike to and from work/uni on most days (except when the weather is too bad, which is not often, or when I'm sick etc). Uusally about 1hr each way to uni and about 1 hr total for work (1 day per week). Then on the weekends I have a rest.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
