Hi Everyone,

I'm new here (to state the obvious). I joined because I have trouble getting motivated and was looking for a little help. I am 22 and currently weigh 69kgs which I know isn't huge but I would like to lose 11kg and I just can't seem to get there by myself! I was over 80kg a few years ago and I managed to lose that weight pretty easily but the last 11kg seems to be eluding me.

I was hoping to get a bit of advice on what everyone else does to keep themselves motivated.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you!

hey there scorpion welcome to the group

have a browse around the forum and the home page http://www.weightloss.com.au and you will find different tips and ideas you may not have used before. you could join the various weigh ins and challenges we have here on the forum to keep yourself motivated. what got me through the hard times we having great friends here on the forum to support me the whole way. best wishes

I'm sure you will find a lot of inspiration and tips right here in this forum and website. I know I certainly have found the inspiration I need to kick myself in the butt and get my weight off!

You have done really well so far to lose the 11 kgs you have. Get yourself focused and you should start to see the remaining kilos move.

Welcome aboard Scorpion. We each have our own weightloss journey to go on and it doesn't matter if you have 5kg or 50kg to lose - everyone is equally welcome here :) All the best for your weightloss journey ahead.

Hi Scorpion and welcome! I know that plateau feeling, for me it's the last 5kg after losing 35. The thing that keeps me going is wanting to be healthy, not necessarily 5kg lighter, but I want to live a healthy lifestyle for life really.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

welcome aboard there Scorpion. Maybe have a browse through personal progress to get afeel for what people are doing and what works for them. Maybe something will catch oyur attention and work for you too. Well done on the loss so far and keeping it off. fantastic 8)
