Newbie here - hello

Postby lynspott » Fri Jun 08, 2007 8:27 am

Hi folks

New to site - sadly not to trying to lose weight. Weighing in at 105kg and would like to get 70kgs in next 13 months. I am living in oz at the moment and looking for a bit of support.

I am a bit of an adventurer - moved to Oz for 2 years and do things like diving, flying lessons, boxing and learning tango. Would just like my weight to reflect who I am.

Anyhoo lets see how the first week goes.

Hi lynspott and welcome to the forum! We all had to start somewhere and some wise person once said a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. You'll get lots of support here!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

Hello Lyns and welcome to the forum.

You certainly sound like an adventurous and active person and well done for that alone.

With some focus and a good plan you will get to your goal.

All the best on your journey. :D

Thanks for all the lovely replies

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the great replys > sorry I havent been back on line since friday but I am in Newcastle and we have had a bit of a shocking weekend. After I posted on friday we had all the storms and I live in the CBD of Newcastle, this means that my great new intentions have had a bit of a shaky start.

My car which was in the basement carpark (now known as an 8ft swimming pool) is a write off and its not covered under my third party fire & theft insurance. So on the positve side I see lots of cycling / walking in my imminent future.

The bad news is I hadnt been shopping before it happened so I am living on the strange concoctions of what ever I had in the house. (do all my fruit and veg shopping on saturdays)

My hope is on Friday to have stayed the same weight on friday!!

In answer to your question Kate - I am originally from Birmingham, in the UK. Always wanted to work abroad and applied for my job over the internet. So far ups and downs but I am getting to do brilliant stuff.

Anyhoo I am going to have a look around for what is going on on the site.
