Hi gang,

My name's Maree, I'm in my 30's, and I'm a paramedic in Victoria. I have had a long time battle with the bulge. I used to be a size 26 and I trimmed down to a size 18 to get into the ambulance. I am currently still around a size 16-18 however I can feel myself starting to spread! I need help and I'm sooooooo glad I came across you all!

Just been diagnosed with PCOS so my eating habits will be low GI from now on.

I'm enjoying trawling the forum boards at the moment! See you around....

:) M

Hi Maree - what an exciting and challenging job! I couldn't do it, or nursing, but certainly admire anyone who can :)

Congrats on the weightloss to date.

I wish you all the best for your weightloss journey and look forward to hearing about your progress.

Hi Reester. What an amazing job you have done already. Good on you for seeking some extra support before things get out of hand. We are here to help each other.

BTW my son, 24 is going to Canada next year, the following year he hopes undertake training to become a paramedic. He wanted to be a doctor but couldn't make the grades so he wants to do something where he will still be working with people. How do you find being a paramedic?
