Maybe keep some healthy snacks on hand for that time of day. I also find if I am hungry when I get home I can eat anything so I tend to have a healthy snack before leaving work and then I can wait until dinner. I generally have a couple of the sandwich size vita-weat 9 grain with some low fat cottage cheese and tomato. This works a treat for me but if you still wanted to cut out the crackers, how about some cut up celery and carrots to go with the cottage cheese.
