Hi all,
yet another newbie joining your ranks :P I want to lose weight and I am feeling quite motivated at the moment but I am really struggling with hunger inbetween meals. Hopefully I can find some tips on here :) I want to lose around 20kg in total but my short-term goal is 10kg and go from there.

hey welcome to the group :) whereabouts are you from? you should get yourself a funky ticker to keep you motivated. you will find heaps of tips on here to help you with your journey. best wishes!

I shall investigate how to put a ticker in my signature :oops:

I am from the ACT (and it is FREEZING today incidently.. very hard to be motivated to go outside :D ) Thanks for the welcome :)

35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).

Hello and welcome to the group.

You mentioned you get hungry between meals. How far apart are your meals? I am wondering if the hunger is really hunger or a habit. I used to always have something to eat when I sat at my computer once I got home and realised it wasn't because I was hungry but I had gotten into the habit of doing that so when I sat down it triggered me to go and get something to eat. The other thing is are you getting enough water as thirst can mask itself as hunger. Just a thought.

Have you tried drinking big glasses of water when you're hungry? Sometimes our bodies mistake thirst for hunger.

I forgot to write drink water when your hungry somtime's your body is telling you that your actually thirsty. You can also chew gum.
