I've recently recommitted to this whole weightloss, healthy living stuff. I lost about 25 pounds a few years ago by seriously reigning in the refined carbs and hitting the treadmill on a regular basis. Then I met my future husband, got married, and lived happily ever after. The day after our wedding I had breakfast at McDonalds and it's kind of been downhill since then. The final straw was a vacation to Ireland/Italy this past spring where I pretty much consumed my weight in Guinness and pasta. Time to turn over a new leaf.
I bought a scale and a treadmill, and have started bringing salads and tuna to work for lunch instead of the giant carby meals they have at the restaurant here. And I've switched the crisps and candy for veggies and fruit (most of the time, anyway).
I really feel committed to this. I would love to lose 20lbs, but would be very happy with 15. I think my friends are tired of me talking abour this all the time, so I was hoping to turn to this forum for the support and tips I so desperately need. Here's hoping it works.
