Welcome to the forum!! and in answer to your question:...YES it is possible.
If you take things one step at a time it will seem less overwhelming. If you think about it,. it took many years for that weight to creep on, it's not like you said "hey, I'm going to go out and PUT ON X kilos in X time." THAT would be daunting too. SO just take it one day and 1 habit change at a time and before you know it you will have lost some and that will motivate you to lose more
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
