:oops: I am beginning my weightloss journey and have a very long way to go, so far that I feel like I should just give up.
Heart disease runs in the family and I want to be a good example for my son but is it really possible to lose a whole person from your body?
I would love any advice you have to give.

Welcome to the forum :D Dont give up ! as hard as this journey is and some days you feel liek its not worth the trouble, it really really is. This site is full of wondeful people who have helped me alot, im sure with everyone behind you you CAN DO IT!!

welcome jiggly!

it can seem daunting this whole weightloss thing and it is hard work that requires dedication and commitment, my tip is to take one step at a time. make small changes so it isnt as challenging for you to stick to it. sing out if you need anything there are heaps of tips :) best wishes

I agree with Kate, take it a step/day at a time.

Breaking your goal into smaller parts is a good way too, so you don't feel so overwhelmed.

Welcome to the forum!! and in answer to your question:...YES it is possible.

If you take things one step at a time it will seem less overwhelming. If you think about it,. it took many years for that weight to creep on, it's not like you said "hey, I'm going to go out and PUT ON X kilos in X time." THAT would be daunting too. SO just take it one day and 1 habit change at a time and before you know it you will have lost some and that will motivate you to lose more
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
