new here, hello from Victoria!

Hi everybody!

I'm new to the website, but not new to losing weight. I have been 60 or more kg overweight for 15 years or so, since I was a teenager. I was a normal size kid, but became a mum at 15. I also had lots of emotional trauma, and became an overeater. Now 4 kids later, I feel stuck with this weight!

It seems impossible when you have to cook for a huge family everyday to lose weight. I'm hoping this forum will help me. Also, if anyone is near Melbourne and would like to get together to exercise, please pm me! I have a babe in pram, so if you're a mum to littlies, even better!

Hello - and welcome to the forum.

I am wanting to lose a total of just over 60kg too... Almost 21kg down already. I cook each night for a family of 6 (plus extra people regularly)... It isn't impossible at all. If anything, it helps regulate what you eat and how you prepare your meal.

Everyone on this forum is very supportive. Yell out if you need any help. You've made the first step already!

Best wishes,
Lauren.

Welcome to the forum Elizabeth! Emotional issues can have such a big impact on our habits so it's good you have recognised it! You certainly would be busy with your kiddies and I'm sure they will love to accompany you on walks etc and will get hours of enjoyment watching you work out (right Kate  )

Look forward to seeing you in the forum
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
