New to this weight loss thing

Postby Optimus » Sat Sep 22, 2007 11:59 am

My wife and I have finally reaslised that after 14 years of marriage, and 4 kids, the weight is refusing to budge. :)

I'm not a big fitness freak, although I used to be in my youth, so the weight has been steadily inching it's way to the 100 kilos I am today. It's not biggie yet, but i'm doing something about it, because i'm about to lose sight of my feet. :)

So, the wife and I are starting a diet with a company, that promises to keep the weight off, with 30 minutes of exercise a day. Sounds good to me!

Gonna try and lose 25 kilos myself.... bottoms up! :)

over 40 and losing the spare tire......slowly

Postby fiona » Thu Sep 27, 2007 11:42 pm

hi Optimus, cute name. i was 86 kilos last year, and lost 12 without any program at all. i just cut out yummy snacks, bread, and ate smaller servings of everything. Went out walks round the block most days which helped as well.

I lost the rest on the Tony Ferguson program, which i liked.
I'm so glad you are doing it together. My husband is also 100 kilos and doesn't want to admit that its a problem yet. ..... i'll keep working on him though....and feeding him lots of healthy foods.
Good luck on your journey together!
