Newbie looking to lose weight

Postby butterflygirl » Wed Sep 26, 2007 9:45 pm

Hey everyone

Im new to the forum and just wanna say hi. I currently weigh 65 kilos but would like to get down to 58-60 kilos. I have my engagement party at the beginning of November and am getting married in Oct 08 so I want to feel fit and fabulous on the day.

I've put on weight in the last few years and let myself with my lack on control/willpower when it comes to sweets (and fried chips).

I wish there was a sweet-addiction annonymous support group because I would be there!!!

Also, I was thinking of buying a treadmill from Aldi to start getting fit. Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

So, thats about all for me... if anybody has any tips it would be appreciated.

Hi butterflygirl and welcome to the forum! you should certainly be able to lose 7kg by October 08 with a bit of elbow grease!! Congrats on your upcoming wedding, I'm sure you will look gorgeous on the day no matter what!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

Thank you for all the replies. Its my first day... and I guess I have already succumbed to a sweet. I had a maccas low fat blueberry muffin - does that count as bad? I'm guess it probably does... :( Otherwise Im doing okay... i did some sit ups this morning and already feel the burn.
