Hi everyone

I've been trying to lose weight for a while but I've been finding it hard. I was at a good weight at the beginning of the year but a death in the family triggered a lot of emotional eating and I gained 12kg+. I lost a similar amount of weight a couple of years ago but it is so much harder this time around. It's a bit disheartening. I think there was a bit of justification while I was gorging myself, that it was okay that I was binging because I would work it off. If I could turn back time!

I walk around 1hr 30mins three days a week but not in an "exercise" capacity. I will be making more of an effort and incorporate some pilates or something similar.

Nice to meet you all!

Welcome. Sorry to hear about your loss. Emotional eating is so hard to get over, I hope you are in a more positve frame of mind now and are really ready for a fresh start.

Have you learned how good water is for weight loss? A couple of litres a day can really help and it's a good way to start.

Good luck!

Welcome to the forum nouveau! Grief is a very personal process and we all deal with it differently, and sometimes not so constructively! You have done well to recognise this fact though. With a bit of hard work, I'm sure you can lose it again.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
