Hi! New to this board...

Hi, im 26 and sick of feeling fat and frumpy, particularly now its coming into summertime. Im a size 16-18 and have had my ups and downs from a size 10 to a size 20 (after having a baby). I have PCOS, which I dont like to hide behind as an excuse, if anything, it should make me more motivated to lead a healthy lifestyle.

I know I eat when I am stressed. Particularly drinking coke.. as soon as I have had a tense day, I could easily drink 1.25 litre in no time at all.

I would like to lose weight, get back down to a size 12-14 which will probably need to be a good 20-30kg  I dont want to rush things, I just need to feel better about myself.

I have a loving partner who claims I am gorgeous etc, but you have to feel it inside yourself to believe it.. :(

So this site seems like an excellent place to speak to other people in the same situation.. it works with the children, so why not with the weight loss :D

Hi Danni and welcome to the forum! The self esteem issue is a big one and believe it or not, but it is completely separate to your weight itself!! Good luck with it!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

hey danni welcome to the group

my name is kate and i also have pcos. i have previously lost 21kg and i have also had a daughter so it goes to show you can overcome anything with pcos. i dont like seeing people use it as an excuse either. if i can lose the weight with this condition then anyone can. its about support, dedication and getting on with it. so lets go!
