Hi there,
not sure about the ticker thingies as I also need one. As for motivation I find the best way to stay motivated for myself is that when I weigh in on that very first week and see that i have lost weight it keeps me going for the next week to see if I can beat my first week loss and I find that the more I lose the more I want.... I also just picture myself looking hot in a bikini in summer (hehe).
I will succeed!! I really can do it!!

Welcome! I look forward to hearing about your progress.

As for keeping motivated and positive... there is a post in the weigt loss talk section about how to stay positive. Jump in there and see if some of those ideas may help.

Also, for me I printed out a heap of pics of my with my extra weight and some before I put my weight on to look at for extra motivation when I'm struggling a little. I find it helps me :)

welcome to the forum! For motivation, set small goals and work at them, and fid something you enjoy doing cause it makes it sooooo much easier to do
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

hey if you don't mind me asking, how tall are you? I'm 5'1 and a half (157cm) and i'm only aiming to be 56 or 55kg and that is a healthy weight for my height, i am just concerned 46kg is a bit too small as I was once 48kg and also had problems finding small enough clothes that looked good on me.

46! I was 48 myself at the start of this year *sigh* and didn't look skinny at all. It felt great, and I didn't feel the need to throw a rock at the mirror everytime I looked at it. Different people hold their weight differently, two people could have the exact same height and weight, one could look fantastic, the other like a fat slob. Strange the way that happens :?

Hi VT and welcome, you have been given some good advice here, I agree Sarah people do carry their weight differently I have a girl friend who is the same weight and height as me but where I am bottom heavy she is top heavy, wish I had her problem that is the only thing I hate about losing weight I lose my boobs first  but losing every thing else is great. Good luck with your goal of 10kgs gone by the end of November VT you already on your way there.
