Fiona's January pledge!

Postby Fiona25 » Wed Jan 02, 2008 7:46 am

Starting from today, for the rest of the month I pledge to do 90 minutes of exercise a day!

This is my plan over the next 4 days:

Today - 30 min horse ride, 30 mins fitness circuit, 30 mins swimming

Tomorrow - 30 min horse ride, 45 mins walk/run, 15 mins weights at home

Friday - 1 hr walk/run, 30 mins horse ride

Saturday - 30 mins fitness cicuit, 30 mins swimming, 45 min walk/run

Some days I might go over 90mins but thats fine by me :D

I really want to be 59kgs by the end of the month, so I have to up the anti! I'll record in here how I go each day.
Saying goodbye to calorie counting AND scales for a while.

Thanks girls!

Day 1 - successful :D

20 mins horse ride
20 mins brisk walk
30 mins fitness circuit curves workout - (I go hardcore on the recovery stations, always running, knee lifts, star jumps etc)
20 laps 25mtr pool - i didn't time it but i'm guessing around 20mins.

So that is my 90 mins for today. Very happy with myself, and TIRED! I will sleep well tonight hehehe

Another successful day today :D

45 min walk run. 15 mins walk, 30 mins walk 4mins, run 90 seconds x5

30 mins weights on upper body as well as push ups, sit ups, star jumps etc

I was going to ride this arvo but it is blowing an absolute gale! Instead I did 1hrs housework and 30 mins paddock cleaning which involves walking and bending down. I normally do this every 1-2 days and don't count it in my exercise, but along with the housework, that can make up my last 15mins of exercise. Is that cheating  ? I'll be doing another 10mins walking tonight anyway when I bring the horses in I guess!

Thanks for the inspiration Fiona :D. If I can get through half your daily work out I will be thrilled. I started off 6 weeks ago at 30 mins per day and this week uped that to 50 mins per day.

You're doing so well. You'll get your results for sure! Lane xo

Thanks Lane, and congrats on your 50mins, thats great :D

I started out with a 25 min walk about 6 weeks ago, so am getting fitter eveyday.

I've done 1 hour so far today, so will update when i've completed the 90 minutes!

Day 3 successful :D

30 min walk/run, mostly walking but 5 spurts of 60-90 seconds of running.

30 min fitness circuit at the gym

I've been soooooooooo tired this arvo. Just pushed myself though and my last 30 mins was:

Upper body weights, sit ups push ups, star jumps and skipping.

I think I need to go have a nana nap

Great work! I'm going to take a leaf out of your book and start setting exercise goals for myself. I've been really slack recently and this looks like an effective way to overcome that. Thanks for the motivation!
