My daily food pledge

Postby Fiona25 » Sun Jan 27, 2008 11:08 am

Since i've been lacking willpower in the eating department lately, I thought i'd make a pledge to get me back on track!

I pledge that daily I will:

*Eat between 1200-1400 calories

*Eat no more than 30 grams of fat

*Eat no more than 150 grams carbs

*I will eat between 80-100grams of protein

*I will eat a minimum of 25 grams of fibre

*I will NOT eat ANYTHING after 7:30pm, lemon or lime tea is all I can have after this time

*I will NOT eat any lollies, chocolate or potato chips

That is 7 pledges right there so I will give myself a mark out of 7 each day - hopefully I will get 100% most days, but will allow myself ONLY 1 day a week to not go 100% - I CAN and WILL do this!

Day 2 6/7 - I overdid my carbs but only just!

Calories - 1300

Fat - 25 grams

Carbs - 160 grams

Protein - 80 grams

Fibre - 28 grams

I had dinner by 6:45 pm, its 7:30pm now but I know that I will NOT have anything else other than a lemon tea.

Very happy with todays effort! I have to learn to control my carbs though as I could've had something else with cals and fat, but no carbs...hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Hi Fiona :)

You're doing really well, I'm impressed!

Just wondering how you know exactly how many carbs, protein, fat, etc you're consuming? Is it just by reading nutritional info on packaging, etc?

I've finally worked out how to use the calorieking website (which I now love!) so I have that aspect under control but curious about the other??

Thanks and good luck for the rest of the week - not that you need it! :P

I figure out carbs/protein/fat etc by packaging and anything that won't tell me (eg, fruit, veg, meat etc) I find on CK - CK lists everything.

Ok, another great day today! 7/7 :D

Calories - 1330
Fat - 29 grams
Carbs - 140 grams
Protein - 80 grams
Fibre - 34 grams

My worst day today!

5/7 - we had our fertility specialist appointment today and I have to go through a lot more test and surgery, so I drowned my sorrows in a friand and 1/2 a brownie - mainly overdid the fat but everything else is fine.

This is obviously with dinner included which I will get off my butt and make in a minute!

Calories 1350
Fat - 55grams  :x
Carbs - 150grams
Protein - 80 grams
Fibre - 32 grams

So I bummed out on my 'no junk' pledge and my fat content pledge. I will be being an angel for the rest of the week that is for sure - feel better after my little emotional binge...sort of

Ok, last day of the week 7/7 :D

Calories - 1300

Fat - 29 grams

Carbs - 140 grams

Protein - 88 grams

Fibre - 28 grams

Finished eating at 7pm, no junk consumed.

I won't be posting tomorrow or monday as I will be having a naughty day on Sunday heehehe, I plan to do a raw/unprocessed food day only on Monday to detox from the day before. Raw fruit, veg, nuts, that means no coffee since I have milk in it! Won't be going overboard tomorrow, just a choccie, rice crackers with low fat philli dip, a handful of reduced fat chips and a homemade low fat pizza. I need one of these days once a week or I go all out with a binge.

I realised today that I haven't had ANY McDonalds, KFC, Eagle boys etc fast food in over a month! Quite a milestone for me since I used to have fast food 2-3 x a week

You're incredible! I find I'm way too obsessed about counting as it is, though. I may have to start this kind of dieting once I get under 60kg, though. Otherwise it just takes forever for those numbers to budge...
