I managed it again today. Up at 7am running at 8am. The worst thing is that when I get home and have a shower I don't feel like going straight to uni. I just want to relax and recover for a bit. So I've been getting to uni later and later.

Hmmm... I think next week my challenge will have to be "no snooze button and get to uni before 10.30am".

The purpose of my no-snooze button is to get me on the cross trainer....I was thinking of some sort of reward for doing this.

I run for about 20 minutes on it, so was thinking I could watch an episode of censored and The City....so, one run = one episode. Once I've run enough to get through a series, I get to buy another one - and not before!

What do you think?!

That sounds like a great idea, Ali! I find it's easier to stay on my elliptical trainer if there's something good on telly. Buying new DVDs to watch while exercising sounds like a brilliant reward system.

Success again today. I woke up before my alarm and decided to listen to my weight-loss hypnosis CD with the extra time. I reset my alarm just in case I fell asleep while doing it, but it turned out to be unnecessary because I didn't nod off.

I'm going to try and keep this up as a permanent habit. I've found this week so much more productive and that my sleep patterns are far more regular now that I'm not hitting the snooze button.

I commend all of you who've managed to go without snooze. I have the alarm on my mobile and my clock radio set, the mobile is on top of my drawers so I have to get out of bed to turn it off, instead I end up grabbing it and going back to bed again. My back has been a little sore lately and my bed is too hard so I've been sleeping in my spare room so my alarm is still in my bedroom, I've gotten up walked to my bedroom hit snooze walked back to my spare room and gone back to sleep. I wish I could be a morning person.
