lower 79s today.. been going to the gym Mon to Fri and have a BIG session out on the turps tomorrow night so will put in an hour Sat morning and then again on Sunday to make up for it.. don't intend to eat anything while out but no doubt the beers will be free flowing :lol: :mrgreen:

re the gym... have been doing a bit of interval training on the old treadmill.. 20 minutes of 80sec reps... 8 @ 7.2kph and 7 @ 13.8kph... that expends about 300 calories and then I do another 20/25 to get up to 600 calories all up.. then I do quite a few repetitions of weights in between..

outside gym, am still taking the dog for over an hour of walks in two stints per day, doing 250+ sit ups and 120+ push ups a day and sparodic arm weights while otherwise relaxing..

will report on my weekly progress tomorrow when I have two weeks left on this particular challenge..

after my ten days in a row below 80 kilos.. I've now had five days back above the line I said I'd like never to cross again and it really has become my battleline.. hopefully I'll be back under the line again real soon (80.1 Kg today) and we'll see where we head from there having got down as low as 79.1 previously..

as I said in my progress page.. I have learnt a lot about my diet/lifestyle this last week and in particular this 80 Kg mark has become a pretty significant landmark.. I'm sure NEVER to forget this particular battle and I'm hoping it will have significance throughout my future life now because should I ever get close again (and bear in mind my goal is circa 75 Kgs) then it will be at this point again that I will battle hard to stay under..

Thanks Kate and l can't complain really.. never thought l'd EVER be in the seventies again so that's a huge bonus for me.. course l would like to push on with the job now l'm down here but it'll come 8)

Well today is the last day of this ten week challenge... have pulled up about 4.5 Kgs short all up which on the face of it means I've pretty much failed... so I thought I'd go back to where I was at the beginning and see if some of my other objectives have been realised..

Doing more than 200 situps, perhaps closer to 300 some days... do a lot more than 75 push ups and can do 60/70 straight out now easily and have done up to a record (for me of) 125.. running 3 kilometers a day isn't too difficult either and have been doing 2 hours a day exercising some days so all around I've been pretty happy on my exercising routine..

Theres been a couple of well pulicised blow outs but I'm more interested in moderation in my life now and trying to find a happy balance..

All up l have to be pretty happy with the outcome, I'm now sitting on 79.4 Kilograms so have basically lost half a kilo a week over the ten week period though have stagnated somewhat the past few weeks..

From here it is just going to be a gradual downhill assault on my final goal weight of 75 Kgs.. am not going to set any deadlines and just work toward my eventual goal..
